First science conference held in WoW

Did you know there’s a Science Guild in World of Warcraft? Holding academic gathering in Second Life is old hat by now. You find the SLURL to where ever the conference is being held at some website online. You click the URL, then you arrive and listen.  There are no SLURLS for World of Warcraft though. You have to make your own way there; on foot, by magical mount or via a flightmaster’s gryphon. Someone’s made it happen though. Science in WoW.

That makes me think we really should step up our efforts to have Library Science in WoW. Doesn’t Gorgas Irregulars sound like a most excellent guild? :-)

  1. Aye, matey, I heartily concur. Yargh! We could “irregularly” raid the library at the Scarlet Monestary. Lol. Of course, our Guild Web site would be the most popular because we would undoubtedly host the best information on the game.

  2. Nice! I like the sound of this, even though I myself do not have a WoW account.

  3. My brother has (had?) a WoW account. He cut waaaay back on his playing because he’s a loner and couldn’t do any of the quests that required a gang of people. Of course, he didn’t have a magnificent librarian guild to join. :)

  4. lol, i’m in a guild and i still play like a loner because I can’t play for hours at a time; still i love the game
